Why are you running for office?

I am running for the U.S. Senate to help restore integrity and reclaim Minnesota’s reputation. Our state has become a national punchline for waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer dollars. This is unacceptable. Minnesotans deserve better than the scandals that have damaged their trust. We need elected officials who will deliver real accountability and fiscal responsibility. I will make combating fraud my number one priority in the U.S. Senate.

Additionally, we need a U.S. Senator who will fight for secure borders, safe communities, and policies that put Minnesota families first. Minnesotans are ready for common-sense, principled representation in Washington that puts our state first. I am ready to provide that leadership.

What experiences have prepared you to serve effectively in this role?

For nearly three decades, I worked at the highest levels of sports broadcasting, including more than a decade as a sideline reporter for Sunday Night Football. My career taught me about preparation, discipline, and asking powerful people tough questions. It also taught me how to listen, communicate clearly, and connect with people from all backgrounds.

I’m not a career politician. I’m an outsider who will challenge the status quo in Washington and fight for families who feel forgotten by the political class. Minnesotans deserve a Senator with real-world experience, proven integrity, and fresh perspective. I’m ready to bring that to the job.

What are your top three priorities if elected?

My top priority as our Senator will be fighting fraud, protecting taxpayers and ensuring accountability — both for the criminals who stole billions of our tax dollars from us and for the incompetent politicians who let it happen.

After billions of taxpayer dollars were stolen through fraud, we must take aggressive steps to ensure these schemes can never happen again in Minnesota or anywhere else in America. As your U.S. Senator, I will introduce legislation to hold state officials accountable when they fail to prevent or address fraud involving taxpayer funds. This includes pushing to strip federal funding from any state that refuses to implement strong anti-fraud controls. We also need stronger oversight and better coordination between federal and state agencies to detect fraud earlier and recover stolen funds faster.

Additionally, we must confront the affordability crisis by cutting taxes and regulations that drive up costs and make Minnesota more affordable for families. This includes legislation like the Working Families Tax Cuts, which lowers federal income taxes for working families, allowing them to keep more of their paychecks, and put more money toward the rising costs of everyday life.

Finally, we must continue securing our borders and standing firmly with the brave men and women of law enforcement. I am proud to have the endorsements of the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association and the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis. In the Senate, I will fight to ensure our officers have the resources, support, and respect they need to do their jobs.

How do plan to address your top priorities?

I will immediately cosponsor the Deporting Fraudsters Act, which would require the deportation of illegal immigrants convicted of defrauding American taxpayers. I will also fight for mandatory minimum prison sentences for those convicted of large-scale public fraud. We must stop treating fraud as a second-class crime and start treating it like the serious offense it is.

I will also be a strong voice for conservative fiscal responsibility by fighting wasteful spending. We cannot continue down the path of unchecked spending, mounting debt, and higher taxes that leave future generations to pay the bill.

Finally, I look forward to engaging with law enforcement communities from across Minnesota and showing them that they will have a strong ally in the Senate who respects their service and supports their work.

What do you believe is the greatest challenge facing the people you hope to represent?

Minnesotans are angry about the fraud and billions of dollars in stolen taxpayer money that have come to light across our state. Minnesota taxpayers are being left to shoulder the cost of government failures while the people responsible for the fraud must be held accountable. The challenge is restoring trust in government, strengthening oversight, and making sure Minnesotans are not left holding the bill for government’s failures.

Public service requires collaboration. How would you work with individuals who hold different viewpoints?

Representing the American people requires building relationships. I will make it a top priority to get to know the other 99 senators, regardless of party, and understand the issues that matter to their states and constituents. I will work with anyone willing to find common ground and deliver results for Minnesota, while remaining firm in my principles and honest about where we disagree. Effective public service requires listening, earning trust, and finding ways to work together when we can.

I am not running for office to build my career. I am running because I love Minnesota and the United States. We must have elected leaders who put the people they serve first, stand up for what they believe, and are willing to do what is right for the country.

How will you communicate with and remain accessible to your constituents?

I will make it a priority to stay connected with Minnesotans and remain accessible to the people I represent. That means traveling across the state, meeting with constituents in their communities, and listening directly to their concerns.

I will also maintain accessible offices and use digital platforms to keep Minnesotans informed and make it easy for them to share their ideas and concerns. Representing Minnesota means listening to Minnesotans, not just hearing from them during an election.

At the end of your term, what accomplishments would define success?

At the end of my term, success would mean I delivered real results for Minnesota. I want to have fought to lower costs, protected taxpayers, strengthened our economy and stood up for the values that matter to Minnesotans.

I also want to know that I helped hold those responsible for fraud accountable and strengthened oversight so Minnesota taxpayers are better protected from future fraud. Most importantly, I want Minnesotans to know they had a Senator who kept their interests first and followed through on the promises I made.

Tell voters something about yourself outside of politics.

After nearly three decades in sports broadcasting, I remain passionate about sports and deeply connected to Minnesota. I love our state, our sports fans, our communities, and the traditions that make Minnesota special. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, following sports and spending time with my family.
